Radisson Hotel Group has appointed Armand Steinmeyer as Vice President, Development, Southeast Asia, underscoring the company’s ambitions to accelerate growth across one of the world’s most competitive and fast-evolving hospitality markets.
The appointment comes as international hotel brands continue to expand across Southeast Asia, driven by rising travel demand, growing investor confidence, and increasing opportunities in both established gateway cities and emerging tourism destinations.
Based in the region, Steinmeyer will oversee Radisson Hotel Group’s development strategy across Southeast Asia, focusing on new hotel signings, owner partnerships, market expansion opportunities, and commercially viable projects tailored to local market dynamics.
Industry Veteran to Drive Regional Expansion
Steinmeyer brings more than 15 years of international hospitality experience spanning development, investment analysis, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio growth, and owner relations.
His career has covered leadership roles across Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where he built development pipelines, supported market entries, and helped owners unlock long-term value through strategic hotel investments.
The appointment strengthens Radisson Hotel Group’s development leadership at a time when competition for quality hotel projects across Southeast Asia continues to intensify.
Southeast Asia Remains a Strategic Growth Market
According to Radisson Hotel Group, Southeast Asia continues to offer significant long-term growth potential, supported by robust tourism recovery, increasing cross-border travel, and growing interest from hotel investors seeking opportunities in high-growth destinations.
“We are pleased to welcome Armand to Radisson Hotel Group at an important time for our growth in Southeast Asia,” said Ramzy Fenianos, Chief Development Officer, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group.
“The region continues to offer significant long-term potential, driven by strong travel demand, growing investor interest, and the need for relevant, flexible hotel solutions across both established and emerging destinations.”
Fenianos added that Steinmeyer’s extensive regional expertise, established owner relationships, and ability to structure commercially sound projects would strengthen the company’s Asia Pacific development platform.
Focus on Owner Partnerships and Sustainable Growth
Steinmeyer said he sees significant opportunities to expand the group’s presence through owner-focused partnerships and locally relevant hotel developments.
“I am excited to join Radisson Hotel Group and contribute to its next phase of growth in Southeast Asia,” he said.
“This is a region with incredible depth, diversity, and opportunity, and I look forward to working closely with owners and partners to create hotel developments that are commercially resilient, locally relevant, and built for long-term success.”
He added that his goal is to help further position Radisson Hotel Group as one of the region’s most trusted hospitality operators.
Why This Matters
As Southeast Asia continues to attract tourism investment and hotel development activity, major international operators are increasingly strengthening regional leadership teams to capture new growth opportunities.
Steinmeyer’s appointment signals Radisson Hotel Group’s continued commitment to expanding its footprint through a partnership-led strategy supported by a diversified brand portfolio, global distribution capabilities, and regional market expertise.
Having joined the company in April 2026, Steinmeyer is expected to play a key role in shaping Radisson Hotel Group’s next phase of growth across Southeast Asia’s rapidly evolving hospitality landscape.
