Rixos Water World Phuket is set to mark the brand’s debut in Thailand when it opens in early 2028 following an extensive renovation.
The resort, currently managed by Ennismore, will launch as Rixos Water World Phuket. The signing expands Rixos’ presence in Asia and adds Phuket to the brand’s growing all-inclusive portfolio.
The project will join upcoming regional destinations including Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam, which is scheduled to open later this year.
Rixos Water World Phuket to Be Located in Mai Khao
The resort will be located along the shores of Mai Khao in Phuket’s Thalang District. It will be within reach of Patong Beach, Bang Tao Beach and Old Phuket Town.
According to Ennismore, Phuket is a natural fit for Rixos’ experience-led, all-inclusive model. The island is an established international leisure destination with a mix of beaches, culture, dining and entertainment.
Rixos Water World Phuket will comprise more than 600 guestrooms and villas. The resort will also feature five food and beverage venues and an integrated waterpark.
The property will offer shared spaces for relaxation, activities and socialising, with facilities aimed at both individual travellers and families.
Waterpark and Entertainment
A central feature of the resort will be its waterpark, which will include attractions and experiences for guests of different ages.
The wider activities programme will include swimming pools, beach activities, sports programmes and wellness offerings. Live entertainment will also form part of the resort’s programme.
Evening entertainment is expected to include performances, live music and shows.
Five Food and Beverage Venues
The resort’s dining programme will include five food and beverage venues covering all-day dining, à la carte speciality restaurants and beachfront options.
According to the company, the concepts will include international and regional influences, with Thai, Asian, Italian and Latin American cuisines represented.
Additional options will include poolside snacks, casual food, bars and lounges.
Kids and Sports Facilities
Families will have access to a Kids Club offering activities focused on creativity, discovery and play. A dedicated Teens Club will provide a space for social activities and entertainment.
For sports and fitness, the resort’s Exclusive Sports Club will include an indoor gym, a multifunctional space for group classes and an outdoor jungle gym near the beach.
The property will also have multiple sports courts.
Adults will have access to a spa inspired by Rixos’ Turkish heritage, as well as dining and social venues. Beach and water activities will provide additional options around the resort.
Rixos Expands Its All-Inclusive Portfolio
The Phuket signing is part of Ennismore’s broader expansion in the all-inclusive segment.
The group currently has more than 70 all-inclusive resorts open or in development, representing more than 30,000 rooms worldwide.
Recent openings include SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, Rixos Murjana, Rixos Tersane Istanbul, Rixos Obhur Jeddah, SLS Playa Mujeres and Hyde Bodrum.
The pipeline also includes six new all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, which will mark Rixos’ debut in the Americas.
Other upcoming projects include Rixos Magawish Bay Views Egypt and Rixos Dubai Islands Hotel & Residences.
