The Hari Singapore has appointed veteran hotelier Andreas Kraemer as General Manager ahead of the lifestyle luxury hotel’s highly anticipated debut in spring 2027. The appointment marks a major milestone as Harilela Hotels prepares to introduce The Hari brand to Singapore for the first time.

Andreas Kraemer to Lead The Hari Singapore Opening
Kraemer brings more than three decades of international hospitality leadership experience across Europe and Asia. Most recently, he served as General Manager of InterContinental Singapore for more than five years, where he led strategic luxury repositioning, commercial growth and brand development initiatives.
Kraemer joins The Hari Singapore after leading the former InterContinental Singapore in Bugis through its final chapter under IHG. The landmark hotel left the InterContinental brand in January 2026 following the expiry of its management agreement with owner Frasers Hospitality Trust before transitioning to Marriott International’s Luxury Collection.
Throughout his career, Kraemer has held senior leadership positions across Singapore, China, Thailand, India and the Maldives, building extensive experience in luxury hotel operations and international brand management.
Commenting on the appointment, The Hari founder Dr Aron Harilela praised Kraemer’s leadership experience and global perspective.
“Andreas has a remarkable track record. His rich and diversified experience should propel our plans to bring a beacon of modern luxury and impeccable service to Singapore.”
Creating a Hotel with Character in Singapore
For Kraemer, The Hari Singapore represents an opportunity to create more than another luxury hotel.
“Singapore doesn’t need another hotel. It deserves hotels with character,” he said. “What drew me to The Hari was the opportunity to create a place connected to Orchard Road and the heritage of Emerald Hill, a hotel that becomes part of the city, not simply part of its skyline.”
He added that the hotel team will focus on creating an experience where guests return for its people, atmosphere and genuine sense of belonging.
The Hari Singapore to Bring Art, Design and Culture Together
The Hari Singapore will place art, design, culture and contemporary dining at the centre of its guest experience. In addition, the hotel will reflect the brand’s understated approach to luxury while embracing Singapore’s vibrant neighbourhood character.
As the brand’s third property, The Hari Singapore follows the opening of The Hari London in August 2016 and The Hari Hong Kong in December 2020.
