The Parisian Macao will mark its 10th anniversary on Sept. 13, marking a decade since the integrated resort opened on the Cotai Strip.
Since opening in 2016, the property has welcomed more than 100 million visitors, according to Sands China. The company has also continued to expand its non-gaming offerings across hotels, retail, entertainment, MICE and cultural tourism.
The Parisian Macao opened on Sept. 13, 2016. Its launch completed Sands China’s interconnected integrated resort cluster on the Cotai Strip.
The Eiffel Tower Became a Cotai Landmark
A central feature of The Parisian Macao is its Eiffel Tower replica, built at half the scale of the original in Paris.
The project took four years of planning. The tower used more than 2,800 tonnes of steel and 6,600 lights, based on more than 4,500 design drawings.
The structure includes observation decks, a love lock bridge, the La Chine panoramic restaurant and light shows. It has become a prominent feature of the Cotai skyline since the property’s opening.
Dr. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China Ltd., said the anniversary reflects the company’s ongoing involvement in Macao’s economic diversification.
“The 10th anniversary of The Parisian Macao marks a significant milestone in Sands China’s longstanding commitment to supporting Macao’s economic diversification, while also standing as a testament to our shared journey with the city.”
He said the property has expanded Macao’s non-gaming tourism offering through hospitality, MICE, retail, entertainment and family-oriented experiences.
Wong also said the company remains committed to non-gaming development and plans to introduce further events and experiences as part of Macao’s tourism development.

Hotel, MICE, Retail and Family Facilities
The Parisian Macao now has more than 2,540 hotel rooms, around 62,000 square feet of MICE facilities and the 1,200-seat Parisian Theatre.
Shoppes at Parisian covers approximately 297,000 square feet and includes international fashion brands. The resort also offers family facilities including Qube Kingdom and Aqua World, alongside a range of restaurants.
Together, these facilities form part of Sands China’s wider non-gaming offering in Macao.
Entertainment and Cultural Programming
The Parisian Theatre has hosted international productions during the past decade, including Thriller Live and Crazy Horse Paris.
The property has also incorporated art and cultural programming into its guest offering. Past exhibitions have included Le Petit Prince and Pop Mart-themed displays, as well as exhibitions organised with the Macau Artist Society, the Art for All Society and the Orient Foundation.
For its 10th anniversary, Sands China is presenting An Interstellar Dream with Le Petit Prince. The property-wide programme features themed installations, limited-time experiences and co-branded products inspired by the French literary classic.
Sands China also recently held The Parisian Macao 10th Anniversary Community Fun Day for 130 family members from local social service organisations.
Anniversary Food and Drone Shows
The anniversary programme also includes the Celebrity Chefs’ Table series at the newly unveiled Le Cristal Parisian on Level 6.
Over six consecutive weekends from Aug. 7, seven celebrity chefs have been presenting fine-dining experiences as part of the anniversary programme.
Meanwhile, A Dazzling 10th Anniversary Celebration has been taking place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from Aug. 7 to Sept. 13.
The programme features 1,500 drones forming displays over the Cotai Strip.
Sands China’s Wider Macao Portfolio
Sands China began developing its Macao integrated-resort portfolio with Sands Macao, which opened in 2004 as the city’s first entertainment complex.
Its interconnected Cotai properties now include The Venetian Macao, The Plaza Macao and Four Seasons Hotel Macao, The Parisian Macao and The Londoner Macao.
Across its Macao portfolio, Sands China operates more than 10,800 hotel rooms and suites, more than 1.6 million square feet of MICE space and 780 retail outlets covering approximately 2.1 million square feet.
The portfolio also includes 160 dining outlets and six entertainment venues with a combined seating capacity of more than 25,000.
According to Sands China, these facilities support Macao’s development of tourism beyond gaming.
Looking Ahead
Sands China said it will continue investing in non-gaming industries and supporting the Macao SAR government’s policy of economic diversification.
The company also said it will continue working with different sectors of society to support Macao’s development as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
The Parisian Macao’s 10th anniversary comes as the property enters its second decade on the Cotai Strip, having established its Eiffel Tower replica, hotel, retail, entertainment, dining and MICE facilities as part of Sands China’s wider integrated-resort portfolio.
