The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts Appoints Tom Thrussell as Chief Marketing Officer
Tom Thrussell

Boutique luxury hospitality brand The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has named Tom Thrussell as Chief Marketing Officer, effective 1 February 2026. Based in Bangkok, he will lead global marketing, brand and communications strategies as the group accelerates growth and prepares new openings, including The First Cortina by The Pavilions in Italy’s Dolomites.

What Tom Thrussell’s Appointment Means for The Pavilions’ Growth Strategy

Based in Bangkok, Thrussell joins the executive leadership team to oversee the group’s global marketing, brand positioning and communications strategy. His mandate includes strengthening the brand’s digital presence, supporting portfolio growth, and amplifying its visibility in the luxury hospitality space.

Thrussell brings more than 20 years of experience across travel, hospitality and financial services. His career includes senior roles at Maybourne and American Express in London before relocating to Thailand in 2015. Most recently, he served on the executive team at Centara Hotels & Resorts, where he led brand strategy, digital marketing transformation, PR and customer relationship initiatives.

The appointment comes as The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its collection of boutique and luxury properties across Asia and Europe, including the upcoming launch of The First Cortina by The Pavilions in the Italian Dolomites later this year.

Chief Executive Officer Florence Wong said Thrussell’s experience will help strengthen the brand’s market position while shaping the storytelling behind its distinctive properties.

For Thrussell, the move represents an opportunity to guide the brand through a new phase of growth, bringing fresh creative direction while further elevating its portfolio of experiential luxury hotels.

The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts currently operates a collection of boutique and luxury properties across destinations including Phuket, Bali, the Himalayas and Rome, offering personalised stays designed to immerse guests in local culture and curated travel experiences.
