China Becomes a Key Growth Engine for Accor
Accor highlighted China’s growing importance in its global strategy, noting strong inbound tourism momentum in the country.
Since the beginning of the year, Accor’s inbound tourism activity in mainland China has recorded 46% year-on-year growth, driven particularly by travellers from Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
The group said its continued expansion is supported by strong local partnerships and confidence in the long-term development of China’s tourism industry.
“China is not only one of the world’s largest outbound source markets but also a premier destination dreamed of by global travelers,” Accor said.
Strategic Partnerships Strengthen Local Growth
Accor is deepening cooperation with three major Chinese hospitality partners — Jin Jiang International Group, H World Group and Sunmei Hotels Group — as part of its strategy to create long-term value in the market.
Accor and Jin Jiang International have maintained a decade-long partnership, highlighted by collaboration around Shanghai’s iconic Peace Hotel and joint efforts in areas including ESG initiatives and community development.
The group also expanded its relationship with H World Group, following more than a decade of cooperation focused on international brand development in China. The companies recently announced an extension of their partnership covering direct booking and loyalty platforms.
Meanwhile, Accor has partnered with Sunmei Hotels Group on multiple occasions in recent years, expanding cooperation from Mövenpick by Accor to The Sebel.

During the Shanghai event, Accor and Jin Jiang International signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement for a luxury hotel project in Shanghai. Several additional luxury projects were also announced across Northern China, the Yangtze River Delta and western markets.

Accor also announced plans to collaborate on a future project in Sichuan Wolong.
