Choice Hotels is partnering with Google on hotel booking through AI Mode in Search

Planning a trip should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Yet finding the right hotel can mean opening multiple tabs, comparing photos and reviews, and checking rates one by one.

Choice Hotels is partnering with Google to make that process easier. The hotel company is an early partner for hotel booking through AI Mode in Search, a new Google experience designed to help consumers find and book hotels through a more conversational and intuitive process.

The capability has started rolling out in the U.S. It gives travelers a new way to discover Choice Hotels properties while planning their next trip.

How AI Mode Helps Travelers Find Hotels

With hotel booking through AI Mode in Search, travelers can describe what they want in plain English.

They can include their preferred location, amenities and travel dates. They can also mention anything else that matters for their stay.

AI Mode then provides a visual list of hotel options. Results include room photos, rates, guest ratings and reviews. Travelers can also view easy-to-read side-by-side comparisons.

In addition, Choice Hotels is participating in a new AI Mode capability for Choice Privileges members. This allows members to see the cost of a hotel stay in Choice Privileges points.

Google AI Mode Supports the Booking Process

Once travelers find the hotel that suits their needs, they can click “Continue on Google.”

They can then select a room type. AI Mode helps complete the secure booking through Google Pay.

The process is designed to bring hotel discovery, comparison and booking together in a single experience.

Choice Hotels Focuses on AI-Powered Travel Discovery

For Choice Hotels, the partnership represents the company’s latest effort to meet guests wherever and however they choose to plan and book travel.

As AI changes how consumers discover, compare and arrange travel, Choice wants its properties to appear clearly and accurately across emerging AI-powered experiences.

The company is also focused on making its hotels compelling options within these new travel-planning environments.

“Travel discovery is evolving rapidly, and Choice Hotels is actively shaping what comes next,” said Anna Scozzafava, Chief Data, AI, & Technology Officer at Choice Hotels.

“By working with Google as an early partner for hotel booking through AI Mode in Search, we’re helping make it easier for travelers to find the right Choice hotel for their trip while positioning our franchisees to compete and win in the age of agentic commerce.”

Choice Hotels Builds on Its Technology Strategy

The Google partnership builds on Choice Hotels’ long-standing focus on technology innovation.

Choice was the first major hotel company to migrate its entire system infrastructure to the cloud. This created a foundation that allows the company to adopt and scale new capabilities across the enterprise.

Today, Choice uses AI across guest-facing experiences, franchisee tools and associate workflows.

These applications help drive demand, improve hotel operations and deliver more value to hotel owners.

Benefits for Guests and Hotel Franchisees

For guests, the new experience offers a more seamless and personalized way to search, compare and book hotels.

For franchisees, it helps ensure their properties remain visible and bookable as travel planning becomes increasingly AI-driven.

The development reflects a wider shift in how travelers discover accommodation. Instead of relying solely on traditional search and booking journeys, consumers can increasingly describe what they want and let AI help narrow down the options.

“The future of hospitality technology is about making travel simpler for our guests and driving more value for our hotel owners,” added Scozzafava.

“Our partnership with Google on hotel booking through AI Mode in Search advances both of those important goals.”
