The Hari Hong Kong has officially joined Vignette Collection, IHG Hotels & Resorts’ collection of independent luxury properties.

The move connects the 210-room hotel in Wan Chai with IHG’s global distribution network and IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.

The transition follows last month’s announcement that The Hari Hong Kong, The Hari London and the forthcoming The Hari Singapore would join Vignette Collection. It expands a partnership between the Harilela Group and IHG that spans more than five decades.

“The Hari embodies relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and intuitive, heartfelt hospitality,” said Dr. Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Group. “Joining the Vignette Collection preserves The Hari’s one-of-a-kind character while connecting the brand to a global community of travellers who value individuality and authenticity.”

The Hari Hong Kong in Wan Chai

The Hari Hong Kong occupies a 30-storey building on Lockhart Road in Wan Chai, one of Hong Kong’s oldest and most eclectic districts.

The hotel’s interiors were designed by British interior designer Tara Bernerd. It has 210 guest rooms, including three signature rooftop suites, with views of Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, The Peak and Victoria Harbour.

Its dining and social spaces include Italian ristorante Lucciola and contemporary Japanese restaurant Zoku. The latter features a ceiling of angled timber slats arranged in an origami-like form.

The hotel also has The Terrace, an alfresco terrace bar, and The Lounge, an all-day sitting area with a collection of books and artworks.

Art, Culture and Community

The Hari Hong Kong’s programming includes The Hari Art Prize, which supports emerging artists, and The Hari Chronicles, which focuses on conversations about art, design and culture.

The hotel also offers “The Hari Neighbourhood Guide Audio Tour,” which explores locations away from the usual tourist routes.

According to the hotel, these initiatives form part of its focus on art, culture, community and sustainability.
