TransNusa’s second China route in under a month strengthens Indonesia–China connectivity and opens new tourism gateways

TransNusa Airlines continues its rapid international expansion with the launch of its maiden flight between Manado and Shenzhen, marking its second China route in less than a month after debuting services to Shanghai.

The new service, unveiled on 2 October, reflects the airline’s commitment to strengthening connectivity between Indonesia and China’s fast-growing secondary tourism markets.

“Our main priority is to offer passengers more travel choices while ensuring seamless, secure and efficient journeys,” said Datuk Bernard Francis, Group CEO of TransNusa. “This new link also connects Manado to onward destinations like Bali, Indonesia’s iconic Island of Gods.”

Operating three times weekly, the route is served by TransNusa’s modern C909 jet airliner, with departures from Manado’s Sam Ratulangi International Airport at 21:10 and arrivals into Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport at 01:00. Return flights depart Shenzhen at 02:00, landing in Manado at 05:50.

Fares start from IDR 3,499,000 / CNY 1,525 / USD 226, available on website and leading online travel platforms worldwide.

Looking ahead, the company plans to launch at least one more international route before year-end and further expand frequencies in 2025.
