Vipul Misra has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SriLankan Airlines, effective September 9.
Misra brings more than two decades of experience in aircraft engineering and aviation leadership. His career includes roles across major commercial carriers such as Air India, Vistara, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Kingfisher Airlines and Air Deccan.
His experience covers legacy, full-service and low-cost airline operations.
Misra takes on the acting CEO role as SriLankan Airlines works to improve its performance and long-term sustainability. His appointment is expected to provide technical and operational leadership during the interim period.
