Bhavya Kukrety

WATG has appointed Bhavya Kukrety as its new Managing Director of Asia Pacific, strengthening the firm’s leadership across the region. In her new role, she will focus on advancing WATG’s integrated approach to design, while embedding sustainability, ecology, and resilience into its built-environment projects.

With more than two decades of industry experience, Bhavya will support WATG’s continued commitment to design intelligence, project excellence, and long-term value creation. Her leadership will place human experience, cultural context, and the unique character of each destination at the centre of every project.

Bhavya brings 22 years of experience in delivering sustainable and high-quality solutions for complex land planning and urban development challenges. Previously, she served as Managing Director at Meinhardt Group, where she led more than 20 large-scale projects from bid strategy through execution.

During her tenure, Bhavya brought together multidisciplinary teams across urban development, infrastructure, sustainability, and digital transformation. She also served as Director of Urban Development, overseeing urban infrastructure planning, design projects, and smart city development initiatives.

A Leader in Sustainable Urban Development

Bhavya holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from IPS Academy and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the School of Planning and Architecture.

In recognition of her expertise, she was named a Top LinkedIn Voice 2024 for her insights on urban infrastructure, sustainability, and digital transformation. She has also shared her perspectives as a keynote speaker and panelist at leading industry platforms, including SCULPT @ SMU (Singapore Management University), Future Cultures Hong Kong, RICS Smart Buildings Summit, and GITEX Smart Cities Forum.

Through her new role at WATG, Bhavya will continue to champion sustainable design strategies and integrated solutions that respond to the evolving needs of cities, communities, and destinations across Asia Pacific.
