Langham Hospitality Group Names Josh Littman Head of Development for EMEA Growth Push
Josh Littman

Langham Hospitality Group is strengthening its growth ambitions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the appointment of Josh Littman as Head of Development – EMEA, a move that comes as the company pursues new hotel and branded residence opportunities across some of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets.

Based in London, Littman will oversee development activities throughout the EMEA region, leading efforts to secure new management agreements and branded residential projects for the Group’s portfolio of brands, including The Langham Hotels & Resorts, Cordis Hotels & Resorts, Eaton and Ying’nFlo.

The appointment arrives at a time when global hospitality companies are increasingly targeting mixed-use developments and branded residences as investors seek assets that combine long-term value creation with differentiated guest experiences.

Langham Builds Momentum Across Europe and the Middle East

According to Langham Hospitality Group CEO Bob van den Oord, demand from owners and developers for well-defined hospitality brands continues to create new opportunities across the region.

“The opportunities we’re seeing across the EMEA region continue to strengthen as owners and developers increasingly seek brands with clear positioning and long-term relevance,” said van den Oord.

He pointed to upcoming landmark projects including The Langham, Venice and The Langham, Diriyah as examples of the growing momentum the company is building throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Van den Oord added that Littman’s extensive experience across luxury hotels, upscale hospitality, resorts and branded residences positions him well to support the Group’s next phase of regional expansion.

More Than Two Decades of Hospitality Development Experience

Littman joins Langham Hospitality Group with more than 20 years of experience spanning hotel development, hospitality investment advisory and mixed-use real estate planning.

Most recently, he served as Vice President of Development, EMEA at Starwood Hotels, where he led regional growth initiatives for luxury and lifestyle brands including Baccarat Hotels, 1 Hotels and Treehouse Hotels.

During his tenure, Littman worked closely with hotel owners, developers and investment partners to secure both hospitality and residential agreements across major city destinations and resort markets.

His earlier career included senior development roles with InterContinental Hotels Group and Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, where he contributed to expansion strategies across Europe and the Middle East.

Expertise Extends Beyond Hotel Development

Beyond hotel brand expansion, Littman brings substantial experience in hospitality consulting and investment analysis.

He previously worked with AECOM Economics, formerly Economics Research Associates, advising owners and investors on hotel, resort and mixed-use projects throughout EMEA, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America.

His background also includes property financing, feasibility analysis and strategic planning positions with Kerzner International and PKF Consulting, providing him with a broad understanding of the commercial drivers behind hospitality real estate investment.

That combination of operational development expertise and investment-side experience is expected to support Langham’s ambitions as hotel owners increasingly seek partners capable of delivering both brand strength and long-term asset value.

Focus on Hotels and Branded Residences

Littman’s appointment underscores the growing importance of branded residences within global hospitality expansion strategies.

As luxury and upper-upscale hotel groups compete for development opportunities across Europe, the Gulf region and emerging destinations, branded residential projects have become a key source of growth alongside traditional hotel management contracts.

With several flagship developments already underway and a strengthened regional leadership team now in place, Langham Hospitality Group appears positioned to accelerate its footprint across EMEA as competition for high-quality hospitality assets continues to intensify.
