BWH Hotels is bringing more than 4,000 hotels across 18 brands under the WorldHotels masterbrand.

BWH Hotels is bringing more than 4,000 hotels across 18 brands under the WorldHotels masterbrand and a unified loyalty programme. The transformation aims to improve portfolio visibility, simplify the guest experience and strengthen the group’s global distribution and digital capabilities.

The company said the initiative responds to consumer research and guest feedback about how travellers discover, compare and book hotels. At the same time, individual properties will retain their identities and local character.

Larry Cuculic, President and Chief Executive Officer of WorldHotels, said the group’s broad portfolio was not fully recognised by many travellers.

“We have a hotel for virtually every travel occasion, but many travelers only know a portion of our portfolio,” said Larry Cuculic, President and Chief Executive Officer, WorldHotels. “WorldHotels gives us a clearer way to tell our story. By connecting our brands, loyalty program and digital capabilities under one masterbrand, we’re making it easier for travelers to understand who we are today, while enabling our hoteliers to better compete on a global scale and preserving the independence and individuality of our 4,000 hotels.”

The portfolio spans luxury, boutique, upscale, extended-stay and economy accommodation. However, the company said its research found that many consumers were familiar with only some of its offerings.

By bringing the portfolio together under WorldHotels, BWH Hotels aims to make its different brands easier to discover while maintaining their individual positioning.

WorldHotels Puts Local Expertise at the Centre of Its Strategy

The transformation places greater emphasis on the local knowledge of independent hotel owners and operators across the network.

Rather than relying solely on standardised guest experiences, WorldHotels plans to use insights from its hotel teams to help travellers discover neighbourhoods, local businesses and destination experiences.

The company said individual property identities, signage and existing brand flags will remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, the unified platform will support cross-brand hotel discovery, strengthen direct relationships with guests and increase the visibility of participating properties.

BWH Hotels aims to combine the reach of a global hospitality network with the local knowledge of independent hoteliers.

WorldHotels Rewards to Unite 70 Million Loyalty Members

A central part of the transformation is WorldHotels Rewards, a unified loyalty programme combining Best Western Rewards® and WorldHotels Rewards.

The two programmes have approximately 70 million members combined.

The new programme will introduce three membership tiers. According to the company, existing benefits will remain in place, including status matching, member rates and points that never expire.

Members will also retain their existing points value and gain additional opportunities to earn points across the expanded hotel portfolio.

The company said the new structure is intended to make rewards easier to understand and use across its brands.

Further details about WorldHotels Rewards will be announced on November 16, 2026.

Joelle Park, Chief Marketing Officer of WorldHotels, said the programme reflects feedback from travellers and existing members.

“WorldHotels Rewards was designed with our guests at the heart of every decision. Through extensive consumer research and member feedback, we learned travelers want a loyalty program that feels intuitive and transparent, that recognizes them wherever they travel,” said Joelle Park, Chief Marketing Officer, WorldHotels. “By bringing our loyalty program together under WorldHotels Rewards, we’re making it easier for guests to discover the full breadth of our portfolio, find the right hotel for every journey and feel welcomed wherever they stay.”

New Website and Mobile App Support Digital Expansion

WorldHotels has also invested in its digital infrastructure, launching a new website and redesigned mobile application.

At the centre of the platform is a proprietary hotel discovery system. The company said it incorporates more than 10,000 hours of insights gathered from hotel teams worldwide.

These insights will help travellers explore properties, neighbourhoods and local experiences across the portfolio.

The platform will also allow users to manage bookings and loyalty activities. By integrating hotel discovery and rewards, WorldHotels aims to encourage more direct bookings and improve property visibility.

For hotel owners, the expanded digital platform is intended to provide access to a wider customer base and additional direct-booking opportunities.

WorldHotels Collection Brings Independent Luxury and Upscale Hotels Together

The transformation also brings the group’s upscale and luxury properties together under WorldHotels Collection.

The platform will continue to focus on independent hotels, with an emphasis on preserving each property’s individual identity.

WorldHotels Collection will comprise six categories:

  • WorldHotels Luxury
  • WorldHotels Elite
  • WorldHotels Distinctive
  • WorldHotels Crafted
  • WorldHotels Backdrop™
  • WorldHotels Residences™

Ron Pohl, President of WorldHotels Collection, said the strategy would give independent properties access to the commercial resources of a larger hospitality network.

“The future of luxury hospitality isn’t about standardization. It’s about helping exceptional independent properties compete and grow on a global stage, while remaining true to their identity,” said Ron Pohl, President, WorldHotels Collection. “WorldHotels Collection sits at the intersection of independence and scale, giving owners access to the commercial power, technology and demand drivers of a major hospitality network while maintaining the tailored, local experiences today’s travelers are seeking.”

Two categories are also intended to address expanding segments of the hospitality market.

WorldHotels Residences combines private homeownership with luxury hospitality services and brand affiliation. Meanwhile, WorldHotels Backdrop connects travellers with destinations featuring natural surroundings and accommodation.

Together, these platforms aim to create additional opportunities for developers, hotel owners and independent operators. They will also provide access to the group’s global distribution network and brand recognition.
