Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu, marking the Hyatt Regency brand’s debut in Jiaxing, China.
Located along the shores of South Lake in the city’s historic water town district, the hotel follows the recent opening of Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu. The two hotels give travelers different accommodation and service options in the same lakeside area.
Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu near South Lake
Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu is located in the South Lake district, close to the lake and adjacent to Nanhu Place, which features retail shops, dining and entertainment venues.
The hotel provides access to the wider Yangtze River Delta region. Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou are each approximately one hour away by car, according to Hyatt. The area is also accessible by high-speed rail and air travel.
Nearby attractions include the 5A-rated South Lake Scenic Area, Yuehe Historic District and Zicheng Ruins Park. Yuehe Historic District is known for its 1,700-year-old water town history.
The hotel also offers curated exploration routes around South Lake for guests interested in local cultural and leisure activities.

Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu has 201 guestrooms and suites.
Floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light and views of the gardens. The rooms combine a modern minimalist design with elements inspired by Jiangnan culture.
In-room facilities include plush bedding, dedicated workspaces, modern technology, contemporary bathrooms and premium amenities. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Guests also have access to 24-hour concierge and room service.
For families, Camp Hyatt provides a dedicated space for children. Meanwhile, suites and executive-floor rooms include access to the Regency Club.
The Club Lounge offers daily breakfast, all-day coffee and evening cocktails.
Three dining concepts
The hotel has three main dining venues: The Lobby Lounge, Xiangyue Chinese Restaurant and Market Cafe.
The Lobby Lounge takes inspiration from a Jiangnan courtyard. It serves afternoon tea and provides space for casual meetings or drinks.
Xiangyue Chinese Restaurant draws on the concept of “Jiangnan Spring.” Its menu uses seasonal ingredients and Jiaxing flavors alongside traditional cooking techniques.
Market Cafe features an open kitchen and multiple food stations. The restaurant serves international and local dishes from breakfast through dinner.
Outdoor seating beside the water provides an additional dining option overlooking South Lake.
More than 4,500 square meters of event space
Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu has more than 4,500 square meters (approximately 48,400 sq. ft.) of meeting and event space.
The facilities include a pillarless grand ballroom, a junior ballroom and 10 VIP meeting rooms. The venues are equipped with audiovisual technology.
According to Hyatt, the spaces can host conferences, product launches, corporate banquets, themed weddings and other social events.
The culinary team can prepare customized menus featuring locally inspired dishes. An events team also supports the planning and execution of functions.
Fitness center and indoor pool
The hotel’s 24-hour fitness center includes cardio and strength-training equipment. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light and views of the surrounding greenery.
There is also an indoor heated swimming pool.
Outside the hotel, walking and jogging paths run along the shores of South Lake, providing access to the surrounding area.
Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Place in Jiaxing
The opening adds a second Hyatt property to the South Lake area alongside Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu.
Hyatt said the two hotels provide different accommodation and service options in the same lakeside location. Hyatt Regency offers a full-service hotel experience, while Hyatt Place focuses on efficient, modern accommodation.
The opening also expands Hyatt’s presence in China’s Yangtze River Delta region.
World of Hyatt bonus points offer
World of Hyatt members can earn 500 Bonus Points for qualifying nights at Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu from September 28 to December 31, 2026, under the new hotel member offer.
No registration is required, and members can earn the bonus on top of other offers.
