Refurbished Valley Wing at Shangri-La Singapore
Shangri-La Singapore’s refurbished Valley Wing guestrooms and suites open for stays from October 2026.

Shangri-La Singapore will welcome guests to its refurbished Valley Wing guestrooms and suites from October 2026. The refreshed accommodation includes two Presidential Suites: the Shangri-La Suite and the Singapore Suite.

The update marks a new phase for the hotel, which opened in 1971 as Shangri-La’s flagship property. Set within 15 acres of tropical gardens near Orchard Road, the hotel has more than five decades of operating history in Singapore.

The Valley Wing has its own private arrival experience, accommodation and dedicated services. The latest refurbishment updates its interiors while retaining the wing’s focus on privacy and personalised hospitality.

Design Inspired by Singapore’s Cultural Heritage

The Valley Wing’s redesigned interiors draw inspiration from Singapore’s historic shophouses and the city’s diverse cultural influences.

The design combines Asian artistic elements with European classical proportions. Geometric latticework, architectural mouldings and decorative panels reference traditional Singaporean architecture. Botanical illustrations, floral motifs and updated furnishings add further detail.

The colour palette features soft greens, muted golds, warm neutrals and gentle blues, reflecting Singapore’s tropical landscape and incorporating colours associated with the Shangri-La brand.

Wallcoverings depicting foliage, flowering branches and wildlife connect the interiors with the hotel’s gardens. Crystal chandeliers, timber furnishings and layered textures complete the updated design.

Two Presidential Suites Lead the Refurbishment

The refurbishment includes the Shangri-La Suite and Singapore Suite, the hotel’s two Presidential Suites. Both feature residential-style layouts designed for private stays and entertaining.

At 348 square metres, the Shangri-La Suite is the largest suite in the hotel. Its living and dining areas accommodate private gatherings and entertaining.

The suite also features an upgraded 85-inch television in the living room and a private gym. In addition, guests have access to a private elevator and dedicated 24-hour butler service.

The Singapore Suite offers two bedrooms, spacious living areas and panoramic views. A private whirlpool bath is another feature of the accommodation.

Both suites incorporate design elements inspired by Singapore’s botanical and architectural heritage. Tropical landscape murals, floral details, plush upholstery and warm natural tones feature throughout the interiors.

Refreshed Guestrooms and Executive Suites

Beyond the Presidential Suites, the refurbishment covers the Valley Wing’s wider accommodation collection, including Valley Wing Executive Rooms, Executive Suites and Premier Suites.

The updated guestrooms feature botanical wallpaper, architectural detailing and nature-inspired colours. Refined furnishings and seating areas complement the redesigned interiors.

Meanwhile, the larger suites provide additional space for relaxation, entertaining and extended stays.

The refurbishment aims to give the accommodation a residential feel while retaining the wing’s established style and service approach.

Private Arrival and Exclusive Guest Facilities

The Valley Wing retains its separate arrival experience, with a private driveway, dedicated lobby and exclusive check-in facilities.

Guests also have access to dedicated dining and lounge spaces. The Summit Room serves breakfast, while the Valley Wing Lounge offers afternoon tea, Champagne and refreshments throughout the day.

In the evening, guests can enjoy cocktails and canapés in the lounge.

Valley Wing Stays Available From October 2026

The refurbishment forms part of Shangri-La Singapore’s ongoing updates to its accommodation offering. The hotel continues to build on its history as the brand’s flagship property while updating the Valley Wing for contemporary travellers.

The refreshed guestrooms and suites, including the Shangri-La Suite and Singapore Suite, are available for stays from October 2026.
