World Spa Awards has announced its 2026 winners, with spas, wellness retreats, brands and experiences recognised across categories covering hotels, resorts, day spas, airlines and cruise lines.
Now in its 12th year, the awards programme recognises businesses and experiences across the global spa and wellness sector.
World Spa Awards is the sister event of World Travel Awards, which is currently celebrating its 33rd anniversary.
Waldorf Astoria New York Takes Hotel Spa Award
Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York won the title of ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa’ in this year’s awards.
Italy also featured prominently among the headline winners. Lefay SPA World at Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti was named ‘World’s Best Resort Spa’, while Palazzo Fiuggi retained its ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat’ title.
WORLD SPA, New York, completed the main spa categories with the ‘World’s Best Day Spa’ award.
Spa and Wellness Brands Recognised
In the global brand categories, Natura Bissé won ‘World’s Best Spa Brand’, while Aromatherapy Associates received ‘World’s Best Aromatherapy Brand’.
Sense, A Rosewood Spa, won ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand’ for the first time.
Meanwhile, Six Senses reclaimed ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat Brand’ for the third time.
New-Opening Categories
Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York also won ‘World’s Best New Hotel Spa’.
According to World Spa Awards, the spa covers 22,000 square feet and is the world’s largest Guerlain spa. It combines the heritage of Guerlain and Waldorf Astoria with a contemporary focus on wellbeing.
Asaya Spa at Rosewood Mandarina in Mexico was named ‘World’s Best New Resort Spa’. Six Senses London received the ‘World’s Best New Wellness Retreat’ award.

Further awards covered a range of spa formats and destinations.
Guerlain Spa at One&Only Aesthesis in Greece was named ‘World’s Best City Resort Spa’.
At Mandapa Spa at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Indonesia, Ibu Ketut Mursi – Intuitive Blind Healer received ‘World’s Best Spa Signature Treatment’.
The awards also extended beyond traditional hotel and resort spas. Air France by Sisley was recognised as ‘World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa’, while Ocean Wellness at Explora Journeys won ‘World’s Best Cruise Spa’.
In the design category, The Spa at Desert Rock in Saudi Arabia received ‘World’s Best Spa Design’.
